Do you know that taking breakfast every day is important? That’s why I make breakfast compulsory for me regardless of the day and breakfast becomes a healthy eating habit for me! There are many advantages of having breakfast every day and of course it benefits me.
The first thing we should do is to observe our eating pattern. We must eat three full meals a day which are breakfast, lunch and dinner. But I would like to emphasise the most important meal of the day which is breakfast. Have a breakfast at the appropriate time. Don’t have breakfast at noon or dinner immediately before bed time.
However, most of the students whom I have interviewed skipped their breakfast and take once or twice in a week only. In addition, some of them do not have breakfast at all due to several reasons. Not enough time, wanting to spend the extra time in bed, not used to eating in the morning, and do not feel hungry, are among the common excuses from them for skipping their breakfast.
Thus, it actually gives negative effects to them especially as students who need the energy during lessons and to do other activities in their daily life. In addition, they informed me that they also have difficulties to concentrate, have low performance and lower achievement in the class. So, I would like to ask people especially students to start your beautiful day with the most important thing which is having breakfast! If your eating pattern is unhealthy, change it.
Other than that, there are differences between those who are taking breakfast and those who do not, according to my experiences. I have more energy and strength to engage in physical activity whenever I take breakfast. Moreover, I am pretty sure that my concentration has improved during the lessons rather than having a lower level of energy and a difficulty concentrating whenever I skipped breakfast.
Having breakfast makes our lifestyle become healthy and more enjoyable and the most important thing is a way to keep our body in good condition to accomplish day-to-day tasks. The breakfast that we take must contain healthy food not just only ‘breakfast’ but to ensure that we can maintain a healthy lifestyle that can bring us lots of benefits that we never expect.
Every day I start my life with taking breakfast in the morning as my priority before going to class. For me, breakfast is really the most important meal of the day. Not only does it give energy to me to start a new day, but breakfast is also linked to many health benefits, include weight control and improved performance.
Besides, I choose and eat breakfast that contain minimal amount of unhealthy fats and cholesterol. I prefer to eat more healthy food that makes my stomach become full with the small quantity of food like oat biscuits together with a small cup of tea. I believe that I can maintain my weight and healthy body by taking breakfast every morning together with healthy food.
Moreover, I also concentrate on my meals that I do not have eat while reading or watching television that may cause overeating. Next, I slow down when I am eating and I enjoy every bite of my breakfast. So, I will feel full without having to eat too much.
In addition, I also practise a balanced diet according to the food pyramid. Sometimes, I changed my menu with breads and potatoes that contain plenty of fibre. Rarely, I choose fried noodles as my breakfast but when I do so I will eat together with a large amount of vegetables rather than fried noodles. Moreover, I also consume fruits before taking my meals as healthy snacks.
I have some tips for making sure that you eat breakfast. Sometimes, breakfast can become boring, so eat something different every day if you want. If you do not have time for breakfast, plan to go to bed half an hour earlier and wake up half an hour earlier. If you are not used to eat in the morning, start with something light like fruits, nuts, or oat milk.
Thus, you should have no reasons to skip breakfast. Let’s practise this healthy lifestyle and take just a few minutes for breakfast that can really make a difference to your day! Be healthy, be happy! ***
