GOMBAK, 18 October 2015: A charity sale to increase funds for outreach programme, Desa Rayang Bumi Kenyalang Siri 3 (RABY 3.0), to be held at Kampung Rudan Rayang and Kampung Senah Rayang, Serian, Sarawak, 24 to 31 October, was organised recently by MISI Club at Kulliyyah of Education cafeteria.

The outreach programme is intended to help those people who are living in the very rural areas of Sarawak.

Assistant Programme Manager, Naemah Jamin, said, “This is one of the ways for us to raise funds for our programme. The goods that we are selling are actually sponsored by Islamic Relief Malaysia (IRM). So, the profits we get from this charity sales will be used 100% for the outreach programme.”

The sale was open for all IIUM communities and also for the public. It was actually conducted for three days, Friday to Sunday, starting from after Zuhur until Maghrib. The admirable offers attracted many buyers to come and buy things from this charity sale.

All buyers could buy a number of stuffs such as baju kurung, jubah, scarves, shawls and many more since the price for all items was ranged from RM5-RM10 only per item.

“The responses that we received from this charity sale was quite good. We somehow managed to cover some portion of the funds.” added Naemah.

Apart from the charity sale, MISI Club had also previously set up a booth to collect donation for their funds.

As had been told by Naemah, the materials and goods that they received so far were sufficient. They were only still lacking in terms of cash.

The organiser has called on those who are interested to help the club to send their donation to the following account: Asmidah Amir – 14162028176629 (Bank Islam). ***
