GOMBAK: Usrah buskers are planning to invite famous speakers to attract more audience to come to their leisure evening outdoor usrah that will be organised once fortnightly located at the IIUM riverside.
It is still in discussion, but they are trying their best to bring in more motivational speakers that are well-known among students such as Amin Idris and MatLuthfi to share tons of inspiring stories with the audience.
Focusing on usrah, buskers and leisure as their theme, the organiser of Usrah Buskers, Ma’ruf Club aimed at spreading the dakwah to the students in a fun way.
“We want to explain the actual meaning of usrah and buskers to the students. Both of it must be in harmony so that the usrah will be more interesting as well as happy for both the speakers and the audiences,” said assistant public relations head and member of international bureau of Ma’ruf Club, Halimatus Saadiah Mohd Yaakob, from the Kuliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences.
The first session Usrah buskers was a splendid event with 35 students participating in the session and made it a success surpassing the audience target which was 10 to 15 students. The concept of Usrah Buskers is a two-way communication so that the audience could have the chances to voice out their opinions and discuss them with the speakers.
“We are also inviting students who wish to expose their music skills to become our next buskers’ performer. If good response is continuously increasing, Ma’ruf Club would organise the Usrah Buskers session once a week,” Halimatus Saadiah added.***
