Talk on Islamic studies by renowned academician from Denmark

A renowned academician from the University of Southern Denmark is coming to International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Gombak, for a talk on the issues regarding Islamic studies.

The public talk, billed as The Emergence of Modern Islamic Studies in the Context of the Historical Development of the Humanities, is organised by the Department of Political Science, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS) and will be held this Monday. Below are the detailed information of the event:

Date: 23 February 2015

Time: 11.00 a.m to 12.30 p.m

Venue: Al-Tabari Conference Room, HS Building.

The invited speaker is Professor Dr. Dietrich Jung, the Head of the Centre for Contemporary Middle East Studies of the aforementioned European university, and the current editor of the Palgrave Series on the Modern Muslim World.
