IRKHS Festival 2014 to foster greater understanding

GOMBAK: For the first time, IRKHS Festival 2014 will be held in the university campus to bring greater understanding between the students and their academic environment. Organised by the Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences Students Society, the event will be held within the Kulliyyah’s building from 29 until 31 October.

variety of programmes are expected to be conducted during the three-day event. 

This programme encompasses all disciplines and departments’ society under the Kulliyyah aimed at looking at various issues from several angles through academic activities. Through such a programme it is hoped to enhance students’ ability to think and to bring greater understanding among them on how to solve issues relating to their daily routine as students.

One of the highlights of the event is KIRKHS Night of Enlightenment: A Solat Hajat and BBQ dinner. All students and lecturers of IRKHS will be invited to attend to enliven the programme.

In the meantime, it is hoped to provide a space for students and lecturers to engage and strengthen the spirit of ukhwah amongst themselves and the university’s community. This programme will take place at HS Seminar Room and HS Square.

Apart from that, there will be also be IRKHS Bazaar at the SHAH Mosque compound from 27 October until 2 November featuring a variety of foods and stalls participated by the IIUM young entrepreneurs as well as the outsiders. 

In addition, a talk and an academic forum will be held for the students entitled ‘Master and PhD: Continuing to postgraduate level’ which will be held on 29 October at Main Auditorium. This event is to provide a platform for students to exchange ideas, views and opinions and to seek a better understanding on post-graduate opportunities for those intending to pursue their studies and make future plans.

All students as well as members of the public are invited to join the programmes.
