IIUM welcomes students for the new session

GOMBAK:  Congratulations to all new students who are joining IIUM to begin their study in the Gombak and Kuantan campuses early next month.

IIUM welcomes the students with open arms to this great University as they embark on their academic journey that will define their career in the years ahead.

This coming session, IIUM has a privilege of greeting new students from across 125 countries and all 13 states of Malaysia including its three federal territories, drawn to IIUM by its various degree programmes and its outstanding faculties.

According to Khairun Nizam one of the registration committees of Ta’aruf Week, the University is expecting 1847 students for this new session. Of the total, 1230 students are Ex-CFS, 248 International and 369 Direct Intake.

Opportunities abound for the students to become immediately engaged with the IIUM community, and the university encourages their active involvement in the academic, co-curricular, and programmes organised by university students.

The University shares their excitement during this important time of transition and eagerly awaits their arrival as new members of this great family called IIUM!

Dates & Registration of new students for session 2014/2015 will take place on the following dates:

  • August 26 – New students (International)
  • August 28 – New student (Postgraduate)
  • September 1 – New students (Local)
  • September 2 – New students (Ex-CFS)

Students will need to attend a week of orientation session before entering their respective Kulliyyah and the registration place is as stated in the official letter – Mahallah (Hostels).

Coming to a new environment can be a challenging experience especially the international students, but with the right preparation it would be filled with great excitement opportunities. Good luck.
